Welcome Reception for Chancellor Robert and Mary Catherine Birgeneau, November 10, 2008

Berkeley Club of Tokyo and the UC Berkeley Office of International Relations invited alumni, parents, and friends to join an evening reception entitled "Making a Difference: Berkeley in the Global Community" to honor Chancellor Robert and Mary Catherine Birgeneau in celebration of the University of California for 140 years of excellence and public service. The cocktail reception hosted by The Ambassador of the United States of America J. Thomas Schieffer and Mrs. Susanne Schieffer was held at The American Embassy Ambassador's Residence.

The menu included typical American fare such as pasta, hamburger, and brownnies, courtesy of the Ambassador and Mrs. Schieffer.
