An international buffet dinner was served along with wine, beer, and soft drinks.

Amy Ambrose (Lit & French '85), Associate Director of the UCB International Relations Office, described the activities of Berkeley Clubs around the world.
Prof. Steve Vogel discussed various political and economic aspects of the Japan-US relationship.
Prof. Duncan Williams delivered his talk in Japanese and answered questions bilingually.
Athletics Director Sandy Barbour stressed the  importance of students balancing academics and athletics.
UC Japan members span a wide range of nationalities and ages.

We were happy to see many new faces at the event.
Audience members listened intently and participated actively in the Q & A session.
UC Japan events are good chances for networking. 
UC Japan President Kazusue Konoike (Civ Engr '76) greeted members and guests at the reception.
